Linear Panoramic Photography
A Linear panoramic image is made up of multiple images stitched together. However instead of all of the images being taken from the same location the camera and tripod move between photographs. When done carefully this can create an image that reproduces the front elevation of a long building, however it does cause significant parallax issues between each image that require hand stitching to create a successful final image.
