Image Use:

- CGI photomontage.
- Verified Views / AVR.
(1) - Perspective correction removes the effects of parallax where tall buildings may appear to be falling over backwards or narrowing towards the top, sometimes described as converging verticals or keystoning. If the images are going to be used as verified views or as part of a CGI presentation then best practice dictates that they should be corrected using tilt shift lenses. However some CGI workflows use the effect of parallax to key in the position of the camera.
(2) - Why do I need to know what the images are going to be used for?
- If they are only going to be viewed on screen then the post processing workflow changes slightly so as to give a better display on screen.
- The largest output size allows me to create an image at that size rather than require someone further down the production line having to scale up a lower resolution image.
- If the image is going to be used as part of a CGI then contact between myself and the company producing the CGI allows me to check what information and image size they require. This helps to reduce problems and simplify the workflow.
- If the images are going to be Verified views / AVR then communication with the surveyor and working out how to merge our joint workflows will be required.
