A selection of wide-angle panoramas focussing on UK heritage from 4000 BC onwards.
These images were created using a full frame digital camera mounted on a modified spherical panoramic tripod head supported by a mechanically levelled tripod. This configuration creates parallax free sharp images that are perfect for panoramic stitching.
Bolsover Castle was built in the early 17th century by the Cavendish family replacing a previous medieval castle built by the Peverel family. The castle is a Grade 1 Listed building and a scheduled ancient monument. The image is 230° x 38° and was stitched from 16 photographs.

Originally consisting of around 100 pairs of stones the Avenue links Avebury and the Sanctuary and forms part of the Avebury World Heritage Site. The image is 210° x 35° and was stitched from 16 photographs.

This is a wide-angle stitched panoramic view from outside of West Kennet Long Barrow. To the right of the barrow Silbury Hill can be seen with Avebury beyond in the mists. Built between 3500-4000 BC and originally used as a burial chamber it now forms part of the Avebury World Heritage Site.
